Looking at the collection established by Henry Wellcome, the founder of the Wellcome Institute, this exhibition reunites a cross section of his most extraordinary objects. From Japanese sex aids to Napoleon's toothbrush, the items on show in Medicine Man at Wellcome Collection show the extent of his fascination with all things scientific and draw a line between our own understanding of the modern perspective of medicine and health.

An entrepreneur, a philamthropist, a pinoeer and a patron of science, Henry Wellcome has created one of the world's most fascinating museums from a vast stockpile of his interest in the world of medicine and scientific advancement. Objects on show in Medicine Man at Wellcome Collection are grouped in sections by type and cultural theme, giving a broad perspective of the objects, their history, their usefulness and the ways in which we relate to such things today.

Baby identification kits from the twenties, iron chastity belts and amulets are just some of the fascination objects on show. Tours of the Medicine Man exhibition take place on Saturdays at 11:30am.
